Black & White is the September 2026 monthly competition of the Life Framer photography award, judged by Andrea Modica, open worldwide to film and digital monochrome work of any genre, new or archival. Entry costs from $20; the monthly 1st Prize winner takes a share of the $24,000 annual cash fund and the top two images are shown in Life Framer's international gallery exhibitions. Entries close 30 September 2026. AI-generated imagery is not accepted.

- Rights
- Entrants retain full copyright and moral rights in their images and are always credited. Life Framer receives only a non-exclusive, royalty-free worldwide licence to use entries in connection with the Award (judging, website and social media, exhibitions, promotional materials, press announcements, catalogues); any other reproduction requires the entrant's express permission and the work is never sold.
- Outcome
- Monthly 1st Prize: $2,000 cash; monthly 1st and 2nd Prize images: three global exhibitions and inclusion in the Life Framer Photobook. Monthly 1st and 2nd Prize photographers and the other 18 winners receive online exposure and personal feedback; all entrants can submit to The Collection and #lifeframerstories.
